I am a qualified teacher of maths and science and I still have about ten private students. I love the chance to develop relationships with them, show them how much they already know and gently stretch them to greater understanding and confidence. If you’d like to learn more about my tutoring work please visit The Surrey Tutor.
I am a member of Toastmasters International and currently serve on the District Leadership Team for District 91. I am responsible for club growth and member retention, which sounds a bit dry but it’s actually an exciting opportunity to talk to lots of people about Toastmasters. I wouldn’t be where I am today without that life-changing organisation.
I started blogging some years ago, I haven’t updated this in a while but I’m proud to have touched people with my writing from time to time. If you’d like to visit I’d be honoured 🙂
I came to the UK with my then-husband, one child and two suitcases in 2002. We intended to stay for a couple of years. 13 years later I’m amicably divorced, I have three beautiful children, two black cats that I’m finding increasingly difficult to tell apart, and an English partner. I live in Woking, love English summer but winter is way too cold for me. In my dream life I spend six months of the year in the UK and six months living on the harbour in Sydney, Australia.
